With origins dating back to 1989, National Pet Month has become a regular feature in the veterinary calendar. Every April, the campaign unites veterinary practices and organisations across the country to raise awareness of key pet care topics and celebrate the important role of pets in our lives.
As the April 2025 campaign ends (although as you’ll hear, the initiative runs year-round) we catch up with Asha to hear what makes the veterinary sector’s longest-running campaign of its type so successful. Asha explains why the National Pet Month campaign is so popular, shares how organisations got involved in 2025, and teases some exciting upcoming events.
