The Veterinary Defence Society (VDS) is to host a CPD event for veterinary graduates who have qualified in the past five years.
This event will take place on Friday, 20 September 2024, and aims to support recent graduates with building their confidence in practice. Hosted at The Wellbeing Farm in Lancashire, it promises to be a different take on a CPD event with plenty of opportunity to reflect and relax.
This year’s event will be an interactive CPD day, complete with clinical scenarios, ethical dilemmas and a live Q&A session about the difficult situations in practice.
Attendees will also be able to watch Cautionary Tales Live, during which VDS claims consultants will share TED talk style sessions, in a similar format to the Cautionary Tales shared in the group’s newsletter. Based on real life cases that the consultants have handled, these talks will provide important information in a humorous and entertaining way.
As well as a fun, reflective day of CPD content, delegates will receive a Digital Delegate Bag containing valuable resources such as VDS training content, videos and information sheets.
This event is ideal for graduates working at independent practices, inviting them to network with others at similar stages in their careers and form a community for peer-to-peer support. This could be an excellent addition to a practice’s Graduate Development Programme.
Tickets are available for just £50, with a full day’s CPD, lunch and a drinks reception. If you book your tickets before Tuesday, 30 April 2024, you will have the chance to enter a draw for a night’s free accommodation for the event.
